Other random things
- The length of the foot from the tip of the toes to the heel is the length of the forearm! (try it on yourself)
- Slightly lengthening the legs makes a character look taller; Likewise, short legs and a long torso makes a character look shorter.
- Be sure to keep the proportions in mind even when you're drawing a sitting character! It's very easy to make the legs too long.
I think the "What not to do" part of this is more useful than the other side, since the stuff I talk about have been repeated over and over again in anatomy books and other tutorials.
Part two coming.. I don't know when!
